Healthy Snack: Homemade corn fritters with refreshing yoghurt dip

Ever wonder how to include healthier snacks for your family? Here is the recipe which is easy to make, with a balance of crunch and flavour. This recipe is high in fibre, high in protein, and low in fats. From young kids to older adults, it is a healthy snack that is suitable for everyone. What you need to make 10 pieces (5 servings):

1. Corn fritters


2. Yoghurt dip



Steps:

  1. In a medium bowl, add the ingredients in this sequence: Flour - baking powder - salt and pepper - egg - milk - oil - chili - spring onion - coriander - corn. Mix well after every addition of ingredients.

  2. On a lightly oiled pan with medium flame, scoop a spoonful of batter into the pan and press lightly to flattened.

  3. Fry the batter until golden brown on both sides.

  4. Prepare the yoghurt dip while pan-frying the corn fritters. Mix all ingredients evenly and set aside.

  5. Ensure both sides of the fritters are evenly brown. Rest them on kitchen towels to remove excess oil.

  6. Serve and enjoy.

Nutritional Tips:

- Swap the chillies in the recipe for capsicum for a sweeter flavour.
- You can also modify the recipe by adding shredded carrots or other vegetables for variety.
- The yoghurt dip can also be used as a salad dressing
- Pan fry method use lesser oil as compared to deep frying. Alternatively, you can also bake/air-fry for crispy texture
